Lake Livingston State Park

Yesterday, we spent most of the day on paperwork, then went with Paul and Dalya to a square dance in Livingston. Some of the local dancers seemed a little startled by the amount of enthusiasm we put into our dancing. Maybe we should have warned them that we come from a club nicknamed the Rowdy Rogues.

Today we decided to drive out to Lake Livingston State Park to see if it might be a place we'd like to camp some time. It's a very attractive park. The campsites are off of roads that loop through thick woods. We particularly liked several campsites in the loop closest to the lake. The sites right on the water were getting a lot of wind, but the sites on the inside of the loop were shielded by the trees from the worst of the wind. We decided we could enjoy camping here on a future trip to Livingston.
