We were alarmed and ran to get our shoes when the warning sirens went off today. What could be wrong? The sun was shining. About the time I got outside and saw that no one else was around and no sign of any emergency, the sirens stopped. I checked the time. It was just after noon. Yup, it was a test, only a test. Actually, a good way to get your blood moving!
We biked around the lake again today. Ken wanted an opportunity to take photos at the Ensley Gardens. I walked around the gardens enjoying the flowers and sat by the lake watching the antics of the geese. It was a truly gorgeous day, with a pure blue sky, and many other people were out enjoying it. Some jogged or biked, others strolled through the gardens or fished. When we returned home, we put the bikes up on the rack, preparing to leave tomorrow.
We did some more trip planning today. We'll be going through Nashville, and we've decided to go to the Grand Ole Opry to see Loretta Lynn and Vince Gill and Pure Prairie League and others. Should be quite an experience. I listened to the Grand Ole Opry on the radio when I was a kid.
Aunt Iris is out of the hospital and in rehab today. Beth has found it very stressful dealing with the complications of her mom's recovery. Iris has a very bad reaction to pain medications, and of course as we get older, we heal more slowly and face more complications.
We talked with Ken U. today and agreed to have a repair shop call him--when we get a chance. Since neither repair is urgent, we'll probably wait until we're in Atlanta.
