When we turned on the TPMS this morning, Ken noticed that all the truck tires were low on air, probably partly because the weather has turned colder. We took the truck to Discount Tires. That's where we bought our tires, and they offer free air checks to anyone. We had to wait a few minutes because the tech was working on another vehicle. Not a problem, but once he started working on the truck, he ran into difficulties with the inside duallies. What with one thing and another, it was quite a while before the tires were aired up. In the process, they had to remove the outer wheels to get to the inner tires.
That delayed our arrival at Jeff's place, where we spent the rest of the day. We did a couple of loads of laundry. Jeff took us to the base to pick up some local beer (evidently it's difficult to get "strong beer" in Utah). He had a couple of errands to run, including getting his tires aired up too.
We stopped by our place to pick up the salmon and other supper fixings and then returned to Jeff's. He's been wanting to show us a movie he loves, Casino. Since he couldn't find his copy, he tried to get it on PPV from DirecTV, but that didn't work out, even after he talked to customer service for quite some time. But then, voila!, he located his copy, which we watched after dinner.
Sabrina had warned us that it was very violent--and it was. It was a compelling story, but for me the excessive violence was stunning and the general corruption rather sickening.
Jeff mentioned, by the way, that when he took Sabrina to the airport last night, it turned out that her flight had actually been on Monday night. They managed to get her on a flight an hour later. They had told us a story earlier about arriving at the airport a day early on her last visit. Next time we think they'll double check!
