Today was a lovely sunny day. Our neighbor pulled out, a couple of other rigs pulled in--an ordinary day in an RV park.
We danced this afternoon to Darryl. Our friends were there, and we had ten squares--a good group. Jan still has laryngitis, but she's feeling pretty good.
It's been very nice walking in the evening to have a view of Jupiter and Venus in the west and Mars in the east. Most of the park is dark enough to allow a clear view of the sky.
We spent some more time looking for places to stay between Spokane and Seattle. We've located a BLM campground that looks good, but we can't find reservation info, so we'll call in the morning and see what we can find out.
The frustrating part of the day was the shopping trip. After the dance, we went to Target and Big Lots and to Anna's Linens looking for a few things for the new coach, but not much luck. We did get some Fiskars loppers at Target (the better to trim low hanging branches in campsites), and we did find a comforter with shams in taupe. The comforter is the right color, but it's poly fill and not as nice as the comforter we have (which is white and forever has spots on it--plus we have no shams for it, which is why we're looking for a replacement). So we'll try it out and see if it works for us.
We didn't find the dolly for the 40 lb. propane tanks we're getting. We didn't find no-iron napkins in merlot. We didn't find a 42" x 66" rug. We didn't find bath towels. Anna's had some the size I'm looking for, but they were very cheaply made. We didn't find a microfiber mop with a telescoping handle. We didn't find a tray to keep fresh tomatoes on.
